Contact Process with Aperiodic Temporal Disorder

چکیده
We investigate the nonequilibrium critical behavior of contact process with deterministic aperiodic temporal disorder implemented by choosing healing or infection rates according to a family sequences based on quasiperiodic Fibonacci sequence. This allows us gauge fluctuations via wandering exponent $\omega$ and put our work in context Kinzel--Vojta--Dickman criterion for relevance models. By means analytic numerical calculations, generalized is tested mean-field limit.

Critical dynamics of the contact process with quenched disorder.
We study critical spreading dynamics in the two-dimensional contact process (CP) with quenched disorder in the form of random dilution. In the pure model, spreading from a single particle at the critical point λc is characterized by the critical exponents of directed percolation: in 2+1 dimensions, δ = 0.46, η = 0.214, and z = 1.13. Disorder causes a dramatic change in the critical exponents, t...
متن کاملViolation of Scaling in the Contact Process with Quenched Disorder
We study the two-dimensional contact process (CP) with quenched disorder (DCP), and determine the static critical exponents β and ν⊥. The dynamic behavior is incompatible with scaling, as applied to models (such as the pure CP) that have a continuous phase transition to an absorbing state. We find that the survival probability (starting with all sites occupied), for a finitesize system at criti...
متن کاملContact process with exogenous infection and the scaled SIS process
Propagation of contagion in networks depends on the graph topology. This paper is concerned with studying the time-asymptotic behavior of the extended contact processes on static, undirected, finite-size networks. This is a contact process with nonzero exogenous infection rate (also known as the ǫ-SIS, ǫ susceptible-infected-susceptible, model [1]). The only known analytical characterization of...
متن کاملDisordered contact process with asymmetric spreading.
An asymmetric variant of the contact process where the activity spreads with different and independent random rates to the left and to the right is introduced. A real space renormalization scheme is formulated for the model by means of which it is shown that the local asymmetry of spreading is irrelevant on large scales if the model is globally (statistically) symmetric. Otherwise, in the prese...
متن کاملDynamics of a contact process with ontogeny.
We propose a simple model of how sessile organisms grow, disperse, and die. Our model extends the contact process to include a spatially explicit representation of organismal growth in addition to the familiar terms denoting reproduction and mortality. We develop a size-structured mean field theory which predicts an oscillatory phase as a consequence of excess reproduction. Monte Carlo simulati...
